Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange

Sisters of OrangeThe formal opening of Notre Dame des Victoires took place on August 18, 1924 with an enrollment of 123 students. At this time, Sister Mary Charles Lirette, C.S.J. was appointed principal. She remained in that position until 1946. The school was staffed for many years entirely by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange (CSJ). Today, the sisters are not present; however, we continue to embrace the CSJ charism through our membership in the CSJ Educational Network.

Established in 1988, the CSJ Educational Network, a ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, collaborates in the Church's mission of education through a network of Catholic elementary schools throughout the state of California.

Challenged and empowered by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange charism of unity and reconciliation, the CSJ Educational Network promotes Catholic identity, fosters personal and professional excellence, reverences the dignity of all persons, and educates for justice in a societal time of limited and unevenly shared global resouces.

Together we participate in the mission of Jesus with renewed zeal and joy.
